The Clay Trails are part of The Cornish Way which offers over 200 miles of linked trails across the county. The trails link to a network of cycle routes covering the UK, known as The National Cycle Network. This organisation is co-ordinated by Sustrans, the UK's leading sustainable transport charity, which works with the support of over 450 local authorities and other groups.

CHINA CLAY EXPLORER MAPS

The Clay Country Explorer Maps are a range of maps that will help act as a guide to all those who wish to get out and explore a bit of the Clay Country. As more and more areas of the china clay producing region of mid Cornwall are made accessible by both the Clay Trails and the restoration of disused workings, these maps may encourage more people to get out and explore for themselves this dramatic and exciting landscape. The maps show details of walking, cycling and horse riding routes and include sites of interest, show disused workings, parking places and access points. Two maps are currently available:

China Clay Explorer Map No 2 - Treverbyn, Penhale and Ruddle

Colour prints of the maps are available by post by sending a cheque or postal order for 75p per map to :
